This Doesn't Make Sense

If you live long enough, you will realize that there are certain things in life that don’t make sense. Bad things happen to good people. Good people are gone too soon. Life happens
when you least expect it. Storms come without warning. Troubles come without providing
advance notice. (How rude of them, right?) Things have a way of occurring in our lives that simply leave us scratching our heads and saying this doesn’t make sense. But, what
do you do when God is the One that you have a complaint against?
You felt you’d done enough to be guaranteed a break, and it didn’t come. You were sure you were next in line for an open door, but instead, you had to watch it be opened for
someone else. You were faithful as faithful could be in smiling, sharing, and serving, yet
you were the one who was presented with the grim prognosis. How do you handle life
when it seems the way God moves for you just doesn’t make sense to you?
First and foremost, if you find yourself in this place, you’re not alone nor are you wrong for how you feel. God gave us emotions, and God is big enough to handle any emotion
we might feel at a given time. Nevertheless, it’s important to understand that God’s love is not always best depicted by what God shields you from. But rather it’s often best depicted by what God surrounds you in. All that means is God might allow it, but He is
still kind enough to not let you walk through it alone. God knows the plans He has for you,
and He is faithful to complete them. So, be not dismayed... Whate’er be’tide... God will....
