BAPTISM FAQ
Bereavement/Comfort
The passing of a loved one
is a difficult time for a family, and Consolidated Baptist Church stands ready
to comfort you during your time of need.
Pastor Gaines and our staff will do all they can to assist you with
planning a worship service that is a celebration in honor of your deceased
family member.
Here are a few things you
can do to assist us as we seek to minister to you during your time of
bereavement.
- If your loved one passes during our normal office hours, please call the church at (859) 299-8559. If it is after hours, please call the Deacon of the Week at (859) 608-9223 to notify us that your loved one has passed.
- Please ask the funeral director or a funeral home employee to contact the church. A funeral home staff member will discuss possible dates and times for the service with Pastor Gaines or one of our staff members.
- Please come by the church to complete our celebration of life form. This document will provide us with the information we need about the service, burial, repast, etc.
- If you would like to show a video during the visitation, two days before the service, please bring a CD or a USB drive to the church that contains the PowerPoint or video you would like shown. Unfortunately, we cannot show your video during the funeral service. (You may pick up your CD or USB drive following the service.)
Holy
Communion
We
observe communion on the first Sunday of the month.
New Member Orientation
It is our sincere desire that each new member of CBC has a firm
foundation in the Word of God, so he/she can grow and experience a life of
victory in Christ. Our new members orientation process includes four classes
that are offered during the Sunday school hour. During these classes, new
members will discuss spiritual gifts and receive a general overview of CBC that
includes our beliefs, history, and mission.
Room Reservations
Ministry leaders who desire to reserve a room at the church can do so
online through Planning Center Resources. If you need assistance with using
Planning Center, please contact one of our staff members, and they will be
happy to assist you.
